A billion people on the planet now access Facebook
every month, making the website the largest social platform for
advertising by businesses worldwide. In the previous year, revenues at
the Palo Alto-based company grew 35% to $5 billion, (Rs 27,280 crore),
largely from ad sales. In India, where the company has its
second-largest user base after the US, it is now focusing on building
business with emerging ventures.
